We are thrilled to announce that RAFA has been chosen to participate in the 2023 3M Local Impact Costa Rica program.
This program, led by the American multinational corporation 3M Company, aims to bring together local 3M employees with nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, educational institutions, and government agencies to develop solutions for social and environmental issues in markets with high social needs and that are relevant to 3M’s businesses in the fields of industry, worker safety, healthcare, and consumer goods.
The participating organizations are paired with small teams of 3M employees with diverse skills to achieve a capacity-building goal that will improve their organization and local communities.
Roberto Gallo and Shannon Farley are representing RAFA in the five-week pro bono consulting program, along with a second nonprofit, Agua Tica, the first water fund in Costa Rica. Agua Tica won the 2023 Rafael Gallo Palomo Award from the National Alliance of Rivers and Watersheds in Costa Rica.
As part of the program, our project is to create corporate sponsorship levels for our Guardians of the Pacuare program, which includes developing a marketing strategy, fundraising strategy, and a new logo.
